Welcome!
John Walker, son of Simeon and Mary (Miner) Walker, was born 20 June 1794 at Peacham, Caledonia County, Vermont. His father Simeon was a soldier during, the American Revolutionary war and moved from Woodbury, Conn. to Peacham, Vt. in 1780.
John married Lydia Holmes on 8 April 1819 at Peacham, Vt. She was born 18 April 1800 at Falmouth, Maine to William and Lydia (Adams) Holmes. Together they had ten children - information about them is found on this site. Our purpose is to research and document the life of John Walker, along with his Ancestors and Descendants.
Family trees have both roots and branches (ancestors and descendants) and John is the individual starting point in our Family Tree. The John Walker Family Organization started in 1947, by descendants who were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. John was the first ancestor converted to the church in 1832.
